Adora Chocolates

Thompson Nutritionals developed a tasty supplement that everyone wants to take – rich chocolate lozenges suffused with a special calcium supplement. Thompson Nutritionals branded the new item Adora Chocolates. Market studies and taste-test evaluations, conducted using simple, cellophane-type packettes, were phenomenal. Thompson landed a large North American account. The next step: the perfect retail package design.

The Challenge:

Thompson Nutritionals identified the target market to be women wishing to supplement their calcium intake. The package needed to contain ten lozenges, and it needed to display the government-required nutritional data panel. The package, of course, had to be appealing to the demographic — and, as part of that appeal, needed to fit easily into a woman’s purse.

The Solution:

A variety of selections were developed, each one fulfilling all these requirements. A focus group of women from the target demographic reviewed PakTecha’s package designs as both fashionable and functional. Bonus: the nutritional data was provided on a detachable card that could also be used as a coupon promotion device.
